Women’s Aid, the national Charity working to end Domestic violence defines domestic violence as:
“Physical, psychological, sexual or financial violence that takes place within an intimate or family-type relationship and forms a pattern of coercive and controlling behaviour”
Lincolnshire County Domestic Violence Management describes Domestic Violence as:
“The physical, psychological, emotional, economic or sexual abuse of one person by a partner, ex-partner or other resident family member”
If you are Boston Mayflower tenant, we will offer you support in your tenancy and also help you gain advice from appropriate agency’s.
We aim to:
Reduce reoccurrence and prevent the incidence of domestic violence.
Improve the safety and welfare of adults and children that are affected.
Increase awareness and understanding of this issue within the locality.
Improve Boston Mayflower’s response to domestic violence and increase the support that we provide in an effort to prevent an abusive situation intensifying.
Provide an achievable framework for Boston Mayflower to work within when we support those experiencing or affected by domestic violence.
Encourage multi agency working to ensure delivery of a specialised service to those experiencing or affected by domestic violence.
