Get Out Get INvolved

Over the past few years Boston Mayflower, in partnership with local agencies and businesses, has put on its Get Out and Get Involved events - entertaining thousands of local young people who live in the Boston community.

 

Various agencies, including Addaction, the Youth Service, Childrens Links, NACRO and the Police, have held stalls - promoting awareness of their services and how young people can access them. Boston Borough Council has also assisted at the events.

Events have been funded by the Lincolnshire Youth Offending Team and all activities are free. They are open to all young people, whatever their age or ability.

Young people are asked to give their views on the events and the area they live in, and what improvements could be made. We receive some fantastic feedback and excellent ideas from this, and also some new recruits to work with us on future events.

At the ‘Get Out Get Involved’ roadshows, held across the Borough of Boston, young people can experience a range of activities - from football and cheerleading, to circus skills and face painting.

‘Get Out Get Involved’ is a Boston Mayflower initiative to encourage young people to play an active and responsible role in their local communities.
