Community Champions Awards
The Boston Mayflower Community Champions Awards aims to provide funds to help stimulate and support community activities which benefit Boston Mayflower tenants and the wider communities within the Boston area.
Examples of the types of projects that may be considered are:
· A community event, fete, sports day or fun day
· Purchasing equipment for a community club, sports team or art project
· A Christmas party for children or older people
· Sponsorship of a ‘best kept garden’ competition
· Sponsorship of a clean up campaign for a local ‘Grot Spot’
· A new local voluntary service which requires a ‘start up’ grant.
Boston Mayflower will also welcome applications to provide part funding for appropriate projects where other sources of funding are available to meet the full cost of the project (ie we will fund your application, if necessary, up to a maximum of £500).
If you think your project may be eligible for funding, you need to complete an application form. You can contact the New Initiatives Team on 01205 318550 to discuss your project or offer advice on completing the form.
Once you’ve filled the form in, you need to return it to:

The initial submissions will be verified by the New Initiatives Manager who may ask for more details, visit sites, and interview applicants where appropriate. Applications for the awards will be considered by Boston Mayflower’s local Area Board representatives. These will be judged twice a year at their local Area Board meetings.
All applicants will be informed in writing if the application has been successful or not, following the meeting of the Area Board. If your application has been unsuccessful we will tell you the reason why.
