Planned Maintenance

The Planned Maintenance section manages the improvement and cyclical repairs programmes for over 4,500 homes, ensuring that they are maintained to acceptable standards.

Certain types of maintenance and repairs are most effectively carried out in phases, so that groups of properties can all have the same work done at the same time. In order for these works to be carried out effectively they are awarded in large contracts, these works are therefore referred to as Planned Works. Examples of this type of work include:

  • Kitchens & Bathrooms
  • Roof Replacement
  • Electrical Upgrades
  • Boiler Replacements

Although we have recently completed our five year improvement programme, planned maintenance and modernisation programmes will still continue in order to meet modern ‘Decent Homes’ standards as set out by the Government. Boston Mayflower is committed to ensuring that these standards are achieved in all of our properties.

Other types of works, which need to be carried out on a more regular cycle e.g. once a year, once every 6 years etc. These works are referred to as Cyclical Maintenance. Examples of this type of work include:

  • External Painting and Joinery
  • Servicing of Heating Systems (gas, oil and solid fuel)
  • Grounds Maintenance
