Lynda Bowen - Chair
Lynda has an extensive background in Adult Social Care working strategically in senior positions for Leeds City Council and Hull City Council. In 2011 she formed her own consultancy focussing on housing and social care and has delivered a number of projects working with Yorkshire and Humber and Peterborough local authorities for the Better Care Fund, developing and delivering integrated and planned health and social care. Lynda holds and has held a number of non-executive positions on the Board of Longhurst Housing Group, Locksley Christian School, is a local parish councillor and member of the National Landlords Association.
Sarah is a qualified Accountant who has worked in the local area in both industry and practice. Whilst in industry she was also involved with HR, procurement and treasury management. In 2009 she completed a Masters in Business Administration gaining knowledge in business strategy, marketing, leadership and change management. In her spare time Sarah is a keen football fan.
Jane has been committed to developing and sustaining communities in various sectors including Health, Education and Volunteering. She has a wealth of experience in management and worked on numerous projects helping to inform corporate strategies, and consultation frameworks. Jane is passionate about horticulture and works with young people to design gardens, particularly in schools. Jane grew up in Lincolnshire and, having spent a number of years working in different parts of the country, returned 10 years ago with her young family. Jane is a Board member at the local community health service.
Karen has been an Accountant in Lincolnshire for the past 30 years, and her areas of specialism are insolvency and business turnaround. Previously a Chair of another Housing Association, Karen brings with her a very real knowledge of the housing sector and the difficulties faced in Lincolnshire.
Karen is currently the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. In her private time, Karen is an advocate for volunteer travel and takes the opportunity to do voluntary work overseas whenever possible.
Shaun has a substantial background within the Social Housing sector that has included Facilities Management, Business Development, Director of Operations and Area Housing management with a number of local authorities and housing associations. Extensive understanding of the governance framework achieved through a range of executive roles provided opportunities to contribute to personal, organisational and customer success. Currently directing revenue and capital work at Lincoln University, Shaun previously delivered housing development programmes across Lincolnshire.
Rob joined the Board in 2014. In the Autumn of 2016 he set up his own consultancy, and is currently working as a Consulting Managing Director in a wood waste business in Lincolnshire, running the day to day business, whilst supporting the owner to fund, build and commission a Combined Heat Power (CHP) Biomass Power Station . Previously Rob was Director of Operations for Uliving, who build and manage student accommodation facilities under long term contracts for Universities. Prior to this role he was Director of Enterprise and a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln where he introduced commerciality within a public sector environment, creating a performance based delivery culture. Prior to his time in Higher Education, Rob was the Retail Director at Batemans Brewery, a local independent brewery of renown.
Rob lives locally in Horncastle, where he is a school governor, with his wife and family
Michael attended North London Polytechnic in 1980 graduating in Philosophy and Economics. In the late 1980's he studied to become a Probation Officer doing a post Graduate Diploma at UEA in Norwich. He moved to Lincolnshire in 1992 where he re-kindled his interest in local politics.
Michael was elected to Boston Borough Council in 2007; Lincolnshire County Council in 2009 and became Portfolio holder for Communities, Property and Housing on Boston Borough Council in 2011. He left elected office in 2014 but is still involved in local politics and has held positions as both a Trustee and Chairman of local charities.
