Axiom Housing Association and Boston Mayflower are pleased to announce that the name of the merged organisation will be AXIOM MAYFLOWER.
At a Joint Steering Group Meeting this week the final voting took place on a range of names for the new company. The vote took place after a period of research and debate with brand consultants The Bridge Group, which included consideration of independent opinion surveys with tenants, stakeholders and staff.
The benefits of the new company name were summarised:
- Is easily understood and self explanatory
- It retains the two strong brand identities
- It gives reassurance to tenants over continuity
Hilary Lindsay (Chair of the Steering Group and Board Member from Boston Mayflower) said:
“We have considered a whole range of ideas around what our new name should be – sometimes you have to have a good look round to make sure that you’ve not missed out on anything obvious or better.
We’ve done that, taken our time over the process and as a steering group concluded unanimously that Axiom Mayflower is the best name for our new company and retains the strong identity of both Axiom and Boston Mayflower”.
