The merger proposal will need to be approved by the Housing Corporation, and this will require us to demonstrate how any efficiency gains will be re-invested for the benefit of all tenants. This will require some consultation with tenants about priorities for future investment, which will take place later this year.
We are currently focussing on the submission of a Corporate and a Business Plan, compiling lists of policies to be in place or under construction for day one along with a myriad of other information in order to ensure that we provide everything that the Housing Corporation will need to help them to decide whether we can merge. This next deadline is the 20.8.08 so efforts are hotting up.
