Boston Mayflower’s decision to enter into merger discussions with Axiom Housing Association (Peterborough) was announced in July 2007.

 

Tenants of both organisations were consulted on the merger proposal in October / November 2007. Having considered and noted the feedback from tenants, the Boards of both organisations decided that their discussions should continue.

 

Following a detailed “health check” of each organisation (officially called “due diligence”, which involves checking for any legal, financial or other issues which might threaten a successful outcome), both Boards are now satisfied that the merger should go ahead.

 

We have provided tenants with progress reports on merger discussions in our Quarterly Newsletter. The next edition - due out in July - will feature an announcement that the merger is going ahead, and include a pledge from the Chairs of the two Boards about involving tenants in this process.
