Boston Mayflower welcomes Steve Harriott as the Chair of the Board of Management

Steve has 25 years operational experience in housing with over ten years at Chief Executive level.  He has previously served on the Boards of a number of housing organizations and served as chief executive of three housing associations. He has led large management teams and written the UK’s best selling textbook on social housing.  He is currently Chair of Chatham Maritime Estates Ltd, GreenSquare Group Resident Scrutiny Panel and now Boston Mayflower.

Steve is currently chief executive of The Disputes Service Ltd, a not for profit company involved with the protection of tenants deposits

 in the private rented sector. He was previously a housing consultant, focusing on governance reviews, governance training, board development and appraisal and effective chairing skills.

 

He has also written guidance for the Chartered Institute of Housing on meeting the Tenant Services Authority Standards and acted as consultant with Housemark on co-regulation, setting local offers and producing annual reports.

 

Our Board, which consists of five independent members in addition to our chair and a co-opted independent member and five tenant members, will meet for the first time on the 28.9.10. having completed an induction.  They will then meet as a group at the beginning of October to focus on training and effective team building.

New Corporate Strategy Launched

 

Building upon the feedback received from our Let's Talk customer consultation and a staff consultation both carried out late last year, we are delighted to present our 2010 Corporate Strategy marking the start of our second decade as a local and independent housing association based in Boston, Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.
